Die Farbe reicht von farblos bis wei\u00df, pfirsichfarben, grau oder blau, oft mit einem charakteristischen Schimmer.<\/p>\n Zu den wichtigsten Vorkommen geh\u00f6ren Sri Lanka, Indien, Madagaskar und Myanmar. Mondstein geh\u00f6rt zur Orthoklas- und Albitgruppe innerhalb der Feldsp\u00e4te und hat die chemische Formel KAlSi\u2083O\u2088.
