Tiger's eye<\/a> is a golden-brown to yellowish quartz-like rock known for its silky luster and distinctive light-reflection effect, also known as chatoyance. This effect results from the fibrous structure of the original mineral crocidolite, which has been replaced by quartz during the silicification process.<\/p>\n Tiger's eye is mainly found in South Africa, Australia, India and Namibia. It is formed by the conversion of amphibole minerals into silica, retaining the original fibre structure. Its chemical formula is SiO\u2082 and its hardness is 7 on the Mohs scale. Well-known variants are falcon eye (bluish) and bull's eye or cat's eye (reddish-brown), created by incomplete or heated conversion, respectively.<\/p>\n Sources: <\/strong> Pierced pendants are polished and cut (precious) stones with a drill hole, making them easy to wear on a cord or chain. This makes them a popular choice for jewellery. In most cases, the pendants are pierced widthwise, from left to right.<\/p>\n The pierced pendants are available in various shapes and sizes, including drop, oval, point and heart. Some of the range is manufactured in China, while other pendants come from Madagascar. The pierced diameter varies by model and is usually between 2 and 4 mm. We sell the pierced pendants individually, with some having a minimum order of 5 pieces.
