Tiger Iron<\/a> is a composite rock consisting mainly of layers of tiger's eye, red jasper and haematite. It is known for its striking layered structure and the contrast between golden luster, deep red and metallic grey. This combination of minerals makes tiger iron visually appealing and popular as a decorative material and in jewellery.<\/p>\n Major deposits are Australia and South Africa, where it is formed in metamorphic rocks. Each of the components has its own properties, but the rock as a whole contains silica (SiO\u2082) as the main component, with inclusions of iron oxide. The hardness of tiger iron varies depending on its composition, but averages around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale.<\/p>\n Sources: <\/strong> Pierced pendants are polished and cut (precious) stones with a drill hole, making them easy to wear on a cord or chain. This makes them a popular choice for jewellery. In most cases, the pendants are pierced widthwise, from left to right.<\/p>\n The pierced pendants are available in various shapes and sizes, including drop, oval, point and heart. Some of the range is manufactured in China, while other pendants come from Madagascar. The pierced diameter varies by model and is usually between 2 and 4 mm. We sell the pierced pendants individually, with some having a minimum order of 5 pieces.
