Lepidolite<\/a> is a purple to pink shimmering mica, rich in lithium. The mineral is often found in pegmatites along with other lithium-containing minerals such as tourmaline and spodumene. Lepidolite has a characteristic luster and flaky texture, typical of mica.<\/p>\n Major deposits include Brazil, Zimbabwe, the United States and the Czech Republic. Its chemical formula is K(Li,Al)\u2083(Si,Al)\u2084O\u2081\u2080(F,OH)\u2082.
