Sodalite<\/a>\u00a0is a blue mineral from the feldspar replacement group that often contains white veins or flecks of calcite. It is valued for its deep colour and glassy luster. Sodalite is mainly found in igneous rocks such as syenite and nephelineite.<\/p>\n Major deposits include Canada, Brazil, Namibia and Russia. Its chemical formula is Na\u2088(Al\u2086Si\u2086O\u2082\u2084)Cl\u2082.
