Mosasaur tooth in matrix from Morocco

Also known as the mesh lizard, the Mosasaurus belongs to a group of extinct saurians that lived in the sea.
Mosasaurus is named after the river Meuse (Latin: Mosa) where the first fossil remains were found on its banks.
The fossils are 65.4 to 71.3 million years old.
