Green Aventurine Double Butterfly Pendant from China
Aventurine
Aventurine is a variety of quartz that contains tiny inclusions of shimmering minerals such as mica or haematite, creating a sparkling effect called aventurescence. The most common colour is green, but specimens also exist in blue, orange, brown and grey.
Major deposits include India, Brazil, Russia and Tanzania. Aventurine belongs to the quartz family with the chemical formula SiOâ‚‚. Its hardness is between 6.5 and 7 on the Mohs scale.
Well-known varieties are green aventurine (usually with fuchsite), blue aventurine (with dumortierite) and orange to red-brown varieties (with haematite or goethite).

Double-Binder Pendants
The stone cut into double-cylinder is fixed in a silver- or gold-coloured holder with eye. The double-inder has a length of about 3.2 cm, measured without the eye. These pendants are available in various stone types and are supplied individually. Due to the use of natural stone, colour, markings and finish may vary slightly from one pendant to another.
