Smoky quartz Double Butterfly Pendant | Gold - 3.2 cm
Smoky quartz Double Butterfly Pendant from China
Smoky quartz
Smoky quartz is a brown to grey-black variety of quartz, coloured by natural radiation affecting aluminium-containing inclusions in the crystal lattice. The colour intensity ranges from slightly transparent to almost opaque black, retaining a glassy luster. The mineral is often offered as a polished stone or in raw crystal form.
Smoky quartz occurs in many mountainous regions, with important deposits in Switzerland, Brazil, Scotland and Madagascar. It forms in pegmatites and hydrothermal veins within magmatic rocks. Its chemical formula is SiOâ‚‚ and its hardness is 7 on the Mohs scale. Morion is a well-known, very dark variant of smoky quartz that is almost black in colour.

Double-Binder Pendants
The stone cut into double-cylinder is fixed in a silver- or gold-coloured holder with eye. The double-inder has a length of about 3.2 cm, measured without the eye. These pendants are available in various stone types and are supplied individually. Due to the use of natural stone, colour, markings and finish may vary slightly from one pendant to another.
