Zanddollars – Zee-egels uit Marokko
Sand dollars are fossils of sea urchins, recognisable by their flat, round shape and fine star pattern. These marine fossils date back about 160 million years and give a good picture of life in prehistoric seas. Their shape and pattern make them very similar to contemporary sea urchins and related species such as starfish. The specimens are round in shape, slightly convex and have a polished appearance, making the markings particularly visible.
