Druzy Amethyst Cut-base Uruguay | S.EX

This Druzy Amethyst Cut-base comes from Uruguay and has been selected for its exceptionally high quality. The pieces have an intense purple colour, a beautiful lustre and a fine, compact crystal structure that is characteristic of high-quality amethyst from Uruguay.

This is our Super Extra quality. Within this selection, we pay particular attention to the depth of the purple colour, the clarity and lustre of the crystals, and the overall appearance of the piece. As a result, these specimens are amongst the finest in our Druzy Amethyst range.

The underside has been cut flat, allowing the Amethyst to stand on its own. The natural exterior of the stone is largely preserved and provides a lovely contrast to the shimmering purple crystals on the front.

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz and owes its colour, amongst other things, to the presence of iron combined with natural geological processes. Uruguay is known for its amethyst, which has a relatively deep purple colour and compact crystals.

Due to the natural formation process, each specimen varies in shape, size, crystal structure and depth of colour. This makes every Druzy Amethyst Cut-base a unique product.
