Orthoceras Sculpture from Morocco

These sculptures consist of a piece of rock containing several orthoceras. Because they have been ground and polished, they are highly visible.
An orthoceras is an extinct family member of the nautiloid (squid) still found around the world.
The orthoceras lived between 488 and 199 million years ago and was found all over the world.
