Rainbow Moonstone is a unique type of feldspar known for its beautiful bluish to iridescent sheen. Although the name might suggest otherwise, Rainbow Moonstone is, mineralogically speaking, a variety of labradorite.
The stone usually has a white to cream base colour with natural dark inclusions. When light falls on the stone from the right angle, striking blue, golden and sometimes colourful flashes of colour can become visible. This remarkable play of light makes every specimen unique.
