Amethyst Disc: Tree of Life

Amethyst is a a type of purple quartz which is known for its distinctive lilac to deep purple colour. It is a mineral with the chemical formula SiO₂. Its purple hue is caused by the presence of traces of iron and natural radiation in the earth. Large deposits are found in Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia and Madagascar.

The ‘Tree of Life’ (the tree of life) is an ancient symbol that represents, throughout the world, growth, strength, personal development and connection. Carrots are rooted deep in the earth and symbolise the past, your ancestors and a solid foundation (stability and grounding). The trunk forms the connection and represents the present, resilience and inner strength. The branches and leaves reach towards the sky and symbolise the future, growth, wisdom and new opportunities.
